Yeong-Her Wang received the Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from National Cheng-Kung University, Taiwan in 1985. He is currently a distinguished Professor with the Institute of Microelectronics, Institute of Electro-Optical Science and Engineering, and Department of Electrical Engineering of National Cheng-Kung University. During 1989-1991, he joined AT&T Bell Laboratories at Murray Hill as a post-doctor. He served as the Chairman of the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Cheng-Kung University in 1996-1999. He joined National Applied Research Laboratories during 2007-2012 and served as the executive vice-president. In 2016, he took the president position of National Applied Research Laboratories. His research and teaching activities have focused on semiconductor devices and physics, in the development and modeling of III-V compound semiconductor devices, MMIC design & fabrication. He has published more than 395 international journal papers and 340 conference papers. He has contributed four chapters in books and holds 112 Taiwan patents, 23 US patents and 13 other countries patents.
